The only open fires permitted in the Township are campfires for recreational purposes. Prior to any campfire, a permit must be obtained from the Waterford Fire Department. Permits can be applied for online. Anyone burning outside of the rules or without a permit may be issued a citation.
Yes, Fire Department offers CPR and Basic First Aid classes the second Saturday of every month in our state-of-the art training facility. To provide the fastest patient care possible. There are 9 fire stations strategically located in Waterford Township and the City of Pontiac all equipped with fire engines and paramedic trained personnel. These paramedics can arrive at the scene and begin stabilization of the patient prior to the arrival of the paramedic unit.
