The Friends of the Library accepts gently used books in SALEABLE condition on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00a - 1:00p. Donations will be considered for use in the Library's collection as well as merchandise included at the Friends Used Book Sales.

Complete the reading and non-reading tasks. Turn it in for “cool” prizes and enter our drawing for a gift card.

Ready Reads ResumeAges: 3 & upOur virtual storytime continues, Monday through Thursday at 11:00am on Facebook. The children's librarian will be reading a story or two for you to enjoy with your child or children in the comfort of your home. Different stories every day! Library Scavenger HuntsMonthly ActivityAll ages Pick up a scavenger hunt form from the children’s desk. Locate the pictures around the library. Write down where you found the picture. Turn in your completed form for a drawing entry for a new book. A new “hunt” starts the first of every month.
Guess How Many?Monthly ActivityAll ages Visit the children’s desk each month to see our jar of things on display. Take a guess as to how many items are in the jar, and submit your entry. You win by guessing the closest number. A new jar is displayed on the first day of every month. Winners will be determined on the last day of the month. Prizes include gift cards, books, or the contents of the jar.
Teens – ProgramsBlind Date with a BookFebruary 1 - 28Are you looking for something new to read and you don’t know where to start? Do you like the element of surprise? Try a Blind Date with a Book! These books will be wrapped in paper so you can’t see what you’re checking out. You won’t know what you’ve got until you get home (or into the parking lot if you’re
really eager!). Wrapped books will include descriptors to give readers clues about the subject, plot, setting, and characters of the books. Patrons can check out 2 books at a time.
(NOTE: 6th - 12th graders only. Please be respectful of the tween and teens as they enjoy a library program planned just for them.) Waterford Writers WorkshopTuesday, February 15, 6:30p – 8:30p, Conference RoomAges 16 or olderPublished and unpublished writers are invited to join a community of writers to provide constructive and supportive critiques of each other’s works and to further discuss the craft of writing. Each writer will have the opportunity to read their work to the group. Bring at least five copies of their work (limit of 5 typewritten, double-spaced pages of fiction/non-fiction, poetry/prose, screen plays, etc.) for peer review and discussion. All copies will be returned to the writer with edits, constructive critiques, and suggestions by fellow group members.

Library Garden Club Wednesday, February 9, 7:00p – 8:30p, Community Room.Library Garden Club Annual Tool Tune-up event. Bring your gardening gear that needs cleaning and sharpening. If you can, include one or more of the following in your cleaning kit: green scrubby, WD-40, honing oil and a honing stone. Crew leader Janet Macunovich will provide an overview on best practices and some hands on instruction. All are welcome.
