Office Closing - January 15, 2018

Township Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2018, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Emergency services will be available.

2018 Poetry Leaves

Poetry Leaves is accepting submittals of original poems to include in their 2018 exhibition.  You can submit your poem at www. poetry-leaves.com.

Creative Process of Poetry

The Creative Process of Poetry, featuring Glen Armstrong, Meredith Counts, and Ken Mikolowski, will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.  Please call 248-618-7693 or visit waterfordmi.gov/library for more information.

Poetry Writers' Workshop

Poetry Writers’ Workshop is held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Conference Room.  Local poet and teacher, Glen Armstrong, leads this monthly poetry writing workshop.  Bring paper and a pen/pencil, leave with a poem.  No sign-up required.

Oakland County Animal Control has Moved

Oakland County Animal Control has moved from its Auburn Hills facility to Pontiac.   The new shelter is located at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Building 42 East, in Pontiac, next to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office headquarters.  Dogs are required to be licensed every year by Michigan State Law.   For the convenience of our residents, the Township sells Oakland County dog tags.  The 2018 tags will be available in January at the Waterford Township Treasurer’s Office.

Looking for Community Minded People

The Charter Township of Waterford is looking for community minded people to serve on various Township Boards.  Board members are required to attend approximately one to two meetings a month.  If you are interested in serving your community please contact the Supervisor's office via e-mail or call 248-674-6201.
