Priority Waste Awarded a 5-year Contract Extension


September 9, 2025 -- The Township Board has approved the award of a 5-year contract with Priority Waste beginning April 1, 2026.

Current Contract: Services through March 31, 2026


Billing for the Current Contract
Waterford customers will pay one more bill directly to Priority Waste before all customers' billing moves to the Winter tax bills.
The last bill that you will pay directly to Priority Waste has already been mailed, emailed, or is available on the Priority Waste website in your account www.prioritywaste.com

This bill covers collection services for the first quarter (January through March) of 2026, which is also the final quarter of our current contract year. These bills are due by December 31, 2025. Any unpaid, delinquent amounts after that date will be subject to transfer to your property taxes with additional penalties.

New Contract: Services Beginning April 1, 2026


Billing for the New Contract
Under the new contract beginning April 1, 2026, a single annual rate will be billed to all single-family residential customers on your annual Winter tax bill beginning with your Winter 2025 tax bill. 

Your Winter 2025 tax bill will show a charge of $210 with code "TRASH". 

The 2025 Winter tax bills will be mailed December 1, 2025. 

Please note the due date is February 17, 2026 for your 2025 Winter tax bill on which the new trash fees will be collected.

Township Recycling

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, a truck is located in front of Township Hall for the collection of corrugated cardboard, magazines, and paper board (e.g. cereal boxes, toothpaste boxes, generally most food and personal product packaging. Must be free of food debris and dry.) Collection is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. If an official holiday falls on the 2nd Saturday of the month, collection will not occur and will resume according to the established schedule. Residents only. No commercial haulers allowed.
