Craft Corner

Until we can have in-person programs again, join us virtually for The Craft Corner.  Follow us on Facebook as we post short, craft videos every Saturday at 10:00 am.  The children’s librarians are demonstrating simple, fun, and inexpensive crafts that you can do at home with items either found around your house, or in local stores.

Here are the last three months of craft we have recorded (you can find more on our YouTube channel):

  • February 13: Valentine Heart Card (you'll need different colors of construction paper, scissors, some cardboard, glue and a pencil)
  • February 20: Cupcake Decoration (you'll need a paper plate, construction paper, tissue paper, glue, scissors, and pompoms)
  • February 27: Rainbow Mobile (you'll need a paper plate, yarn, green paper, glue stick,  markers or crayons, and scissors)
  • March 6: Paper Plate Leopard (you'll need a paper plate, some colored paper, crayons, and a glue stick)
  • March 13: Glove Puppet (you'll need an old glove, buttons, cotton balls, a hot glue gun and a few other supplies)
  • March 20: Handprint Flower (you'll need colored paper, pencil, scissors, tape, and something to make a stem)
  • March 27: Easter Egg Wreath (you'll need a paper plate, colored paper, glue, scissors, and a marker)
  • April 10: Origami Frog (you'll just need paper)
  • April 17: Pipe Cleaner Rings and Flowers (you'll just need pipe cleaners/chenille sticks)
  • April 24: Homemade Book (you'll need paper, cardboard, a hole punch, yarn, markers, and decorating materials like stickers)
  • May 1: Mother's Day Card (you'll need cardstock paper, scissors, stickers, and glue)
  • May 8: 3-D Pop-up Card (you'll need stiff paper, a glue stick, scissors, and some pictures)
