Fall Fun Day
All ages - September 9
Several Waterford departments are welcoming fall with some fun events on the Civic Center Campus.  Come join the fun!

  • "Longest Breakfast Table" at the Waterford Fire Department from 8:30-11:00AM.  Pancakes!
  • "Celebrate Autumn" at the Waterford Library from 10:30AM-12:30PM.  Make a paper wreath and scarecrow.
  • "Big Wheels on Campus" sponsored by Waterford Parks and Recreation from 11:00AM-12:00PM.  Touch and climb on a big truck.  There is a $5.00 parking fee for the "Big Wheels" event.
September Is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

For students in grade K-5 who live in Waterford Township.  If they sign up for their first library card at the Waterford Township Public Library, they received a coupon that can be redeemed for a free book from the Children's Department.

Saturn Moon Cruise  -- Saturday, September 30, from 10:30-11:30AM
For ages 8-12

The spaceship Cassini is ending its cruise around Saturn and its moons in a grand finale on September 15.  Take a tour of Saturn while learning about this mysterious planet.

Star Wars Reads Day -- Saturday, October 14 -- 10:30AM-12:30PM
For ages 5 and up
The Force is with us once again! Celebrate reading and all things Star Wars in one place.  Enjoy crafts, giveaways, and light refreshments as you view every Star Wars book the Children's Department owns.  Costumes are more than welcome.
No registration is required!
Library Scavenger Hunt -- Saturday, October 21 -- 10:30-11:30AM
For children ages 8-12

Come out and participate in our library scavenger hunt.  There will be three different hunts, all library themed, and each person who completes each hunt the fastest will receive a prize. Come test your knowledge and learn about your library!

International Games Day -- Saturday, November 18, from 10:00 AM-4:00PM
Games suitable for ages 5 and up
All over the world, people are playing games today, and our library is participating with a wide selection of board games, both old and new.  Bring your whole family to join in the fun.  This program is held in the library's Community Room.
No registration is required!

Gingerbread Houses -- Saturday, December 9 -- 10:30-11:30AM
For children ages 8-12

Decorate a "gingerbread" house with graham crackers, frosting and candies.  Please be aware of any food allergies before you register.
